by Geert on Jul.30, 2014, under Music
I’ve been working on a new track since a couple of days – it’s progressing quite well. Still trying out a few things to get a decent intro and outro done though. I used the following equipment and plugins for the 2-minute teaser :
* Logic Pro
* Behringer UMX61
* Massive
* FabFilter Pro Q
* FabFilter Pro-C
* ArtsAcoustic Reverb
* LFO Tool
* Spire
* Sylenth1

Madness
by Geert on Mar.28, 2014, under Music
A bit later than expected – the full version of my latest musical creation 🙂 I might still change the structure, especially the breakdown. If there are people out there using Logic Pro, drop me a note if you feel like remixing this puppy. This one has been produced using the following :
- Logic Pro on OSX 10.9.2
- Logic Pro’s built-in EXS24 sampler
- Sylenth1 (VST)
- Camel Audio Alchemy (VST)
- A few Fabfilters : Pro Q, Timeless, Volcano 2, Micro (FX)
- Sausage Fattener (FX)
- The Glue (FX)
- Kickstart (FX)
- A bunch of samples, couple of beers, enough time and some inspiration
Right on time for my b-day 😀
New track coming soon…
by Geert on Mar.23, 2014, under Music
Since a couple of days, I’ve been working on a new track. It has been a while since I fired up my good ol’ Logic Pro, so here it is. I included a little teaser (a bit more than a minute), to give you an idea of how it will sound.
It’s a work in progress – I’m not 100% happy with some of the effects and presets used, but I’m expecting a full track in the next few days. In the meanwhile, have a listen and let me know what you think ! TIP: Hit the Play button 😛
Mecano – Spanish band
by Geert on Mar.08, 2013, under Personal
A year and a half ago, I started following Spanish evening classes, and ever since, I take every chance I get to learn new words, expressions, etc etc.. Learning Spanish of course means learning how to write it, read it AND it involves developing listening skills as well.
So therefore I listen to Spanish songs regularly, and I try to follow the news on TVE, amongst other broadcasts. Last night in class we stumbled upon a nice 80’s song from a band everybody still remembers, but most people only know their biggest hit – Hijo De La Luna. However, they made quite a few nice songs, and the one I heard last night is called “Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar” – which translates as “Today I can’t get up”.
Basically it’s about a girl who had a rough weekend, drank too much, smoked too much etc etc.. Sounds a bit like me 😀
Anyway – it’s a nice one to end the work week with, or to start off the weekend with !
